Ubisoft首席遊戲設計師批「獎盃與成就系統」有害：消耗資源又讓玩家分心

微軟早在 2005 年推出的 Xbox 360 加入成就系統，之後索尼互動娛樂自 2008 年仿效在 PlayStation 平台推出「獎杯」，時至今日，成就和獎杯的魅力未減，PC 玩家也有所謂「Steam 成就黨」。

但負責開發《全境封鎖》系列的 Ubisoft Massive 首席遊戲設計師 Fredrik Thylander 認為成就與獎盃系統沒路用，甚至會阻礙玩家投注遊戲的注意力，引起網友爭論這項設計的必要性。

Unpopular opinion : achievements/trophies have been bad for gaming. It narrows games down, it disrupts and diverts attention, and it eats resources that could have made the game better.

在近日的推文中，Fredrik Thylander 指出獎杯與成就系統不利於遊戲設計、縮減其範圍，甚至擾亂並轉移玩家的注意力，吃掉原本可讓遊戲便更好玩的開發資源，回應網友進一步解釋「遊戲應該有最適合本身的獎勵機制，而要求平台制定一體適用的獎勵系統，使得遊戲變得更糟。」

This view is my own. Doesn't represent Ubisoft in any way. I just think games should have the reward mechanisms most suited for them, and the one-size-fits-all mandate from platform holders to make reward systems that benefit the platform makes games worse.

平心而論，他的言論雖非完全討喜，但成就系統會讓許多玩家在意、重新評估遊玩路線，已獲得那些毫無實質意義的獎章，而遊戲平台這麼做並不是為了增添遊戲體驗更多實質性內容。

不過也有玩家反駁成就系統能激發大家深入探索遊戲，特別是關卡全破遊玩二周目的意願，或許沒有這一系統，總挑戰高難度遊玩方式的 Speedrun 社群不會如此蓬勃發展，那些傳說中、可歌可泣的遊玩故事也可能減少許多。

Fredrik Thylander 此前曾負責設計 2008 年動作冒險遊戲《靚影特務》的成就和獎盃系統，近年引領團隊開發《全境封鎖》系列，如今正專注於《阿凡達：潘朵拉邊境》，在加入 Ubisoft Massive 之前，曾在 DICE《戰地風雲》團隊擔任資深開發者。
